OPI has rolled out Metallic Mega Mix, its largest collection of metallic shades to date. There 27 total shades spanning three vivid palettes of liquid metals and “cyber dusts.” The collection was inspired by y2k trends and early 2000s pop culture mixed with space aesthetic and futuristic escapism.
“This year is all about expanding the OPI portfolio to offer more choices for greater personal expression. We started adding new colors and effects in a variety of formulas with the spring collection and will continue to broaden our spectrum of shades and finishes with fall,” said OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, in a statement.
From millennium blues (Y2Slay, MillenniYUM) to rich nostalgic reds (Cyber Cherry on Top, CD Rom-antic, DeJa RoUgE), Metallic Mega Mix offers warm and cool tones. Color highlights include soft, reflective tones (You’ve Got Nail, Lip Pink Battle, Intergalactips) mixed with futuristic space aesthetic hues (Liquid Fire, Funmetal, Stardust It Off). Glowing metal shades include SaTURN Me On and 2000 Karats.
OPI has also created an exclusive song and music video, featuring singer and finger tutter @iam_dytto, to be available on OPI’s TikTok and Instagram, for the debut of this new line.
